Penguin paradise up at Shanghai Zoo

Penguins at the Shanghai Zoo have been moved to new homes, the Shanghai Xinmin Evening News reports.

A first batch of two dozen penguins settled down in their new homes.

Previously kept in cages, now the arctic birds can easily and joyfully swim or stride along a man-made beach.

The director of the zoo noted that such an environment also enables the penguins to have more intimate contact with human observers.
