Captured peacock sent to live at zoo

A homeless peacock which was caught by four men in Chuansha District in Shanghai was saved by police and sent to the local zoo, the Shanghai Evening News reports.

The men claimed they found the bird along the seaside when they were fishing.

They brought it to Pudong to sell it for a high price. A pedestrian called police who confiscated the bird and sent it to He'ping Park where keepers began caring for the frightened and hungry peacock.
